3rd Annual College And Career Fair

Sign Up For Delta College Courses!

We have a fantastic opportunity for our students to start their college career while in high school. During Round Up, students will be able to sign up for Delta College or take the Delta College placement test during our Round Up activities.  These courses are open to all students who are ready to start their college career while in high school.  Taking college courses while in high school will make your student more competitive when applying to college (remember our students are competing with other students from around the world to earn a seat on a university campus) and save them time and money once they go off to college.  CCHS pays for the course and tuition.  The only cost to the student is the cost of the books and their Delta College Transcript.

3rd annual Career and College Fair

Over 800 Cesar Chavez High School Juniors and Seniors participated in various career and college events on February 4th and 5th during our CAHSEE census testing.  While our Freshman and Sophomores focused on the CAHSEE test (Freshmen took a practice test), our Juniors and Seniors participated in various career and college events to provide them the opportunity to prepare for life after high school.  They had opportunities to visit local college campuses and learn from local professionals in career fields connected to our five Small Learning Communities  career pathways (Health, Law, Communication Technology, Environment and Engineering Science, and Creative and Performing Arts).  Student were also able to hear from speakers from local universities and colleges such as UOP, Sacramento State, FIDM, and  Stanislaus State as well as speakers from all of our Military branches of service.

This was a fantastic event and CCHS would like to thank all of the local business speakers, universities, colleges and military branches for their participation.  We would also like to thank Ms. Frances Richardson Coordinator and Administrative Assistant of our local San Joaquin Business Education Alliance for all of their support and outreach in assisting our school with the organizing this event.
